PERFORMANCE INTENSIVE FOR EMERGING ARTISTS

The Festival’s Performance Intensive provides ten days of concerts at some of the most beautiful, intimate, and storied venues along the Gold Coast of Long Island, including Coe Hall, St. John’s Episcopal Church in Cold Spring Harbor, Raynham Hall Museum, Christ Church of Oyster Bay, the Nassau County Museum of Art and many others.  Designed for highly gifted musicians ages 16-30 (including pianists, classical singers, woodwinds, and strings), Performance Intensive participants, together with festival faculty and guest artists, present solo and chamber music repertoire on classical music concerts.

Performance Intensive rehearsals take place at First Presbyterian Church at 60 East Main Street in Oyster Bay, New York. In addition to our daily evening concerts, informal afternoon performances take place throughout downtown Oyster Bay and within walking distance from the First Presbyterian campus. Housing will be provided for out of town performers.

Our mission is to bring high quality classical music to the community in engaging ways.  One of our hallmarks is creating programs that highlight the uniqueness of the venues at which we perform, or relate to a specific theme. We encourage creative input from our young artists.
